Safer Internet Day

We have been learning how to stay safe when using technology such as tablets and computers. We shared the story of Smartie the Penguin and talked about what to do if adverts pop up, learning that some adverts are not real and that AI can sometimes play tricks on us. 

The children helped Smartie to make the right choice by asking a grown up for help. We also discussed how situations like this might make us feel sad, worried or scared. 

During continuous provision, the children worked together to create a large penguin collage, which is now displayed next to our computer as a reminder of how to stay safe when using technology.
