Thank you to everyone who came and supported us with the tower building. There was a lot of competitive parents during the morning. Well done to everyone. Some very impressive towers!

Year 5 - Life as a Mechanical Engineer
Today Year 5 welcomed Mrs Ashenden into their classroom. Mrs Ashenden studied A-level Maths, Physics and Biology at college. She then gained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The children enjoyed discussing the different types of engineering degrees and careers that would be available to them in the future:
* Mechanical - how things work
* Civil - buildings and structures
* Electrical - electrical systems
* Chemical - chemical processes
Through discussion, Mrs Ashenden took the children on a journey of her typical day working in Facilities Management at Keele University. The children were full of questions and were keen to understand what options there might be for them in the Engineering field in the future.
