Diwali Day
Today all children from Nursery to Year 6 took part in a day to celebrate Diwali- the Hindu festival of light ✨ 🪔
The children in Reception to Year 6 all took to the floor and completed a dance workshop performing the story of Rama and Sita. Our nursery also joined to watch the Year 5 class in action!
Across the day the children have taken part in a range of activities. From Rangoli designing and dira light making from clay and salt dough, to using shapes to actively create patterns, writing fact files about Diwali and also writing key descriptions of the 5 days of Diwali. The children and staff fully embraced the celebration and have had a wonderful day celebrating.
