Dare To Be Safe Online Safety Home Challenge
Welcome to #DareToBeSafe – an online safety campaign for our Hugo families!
We are excited to invite you to join our #DareToBeSafe campaign, where learning about online safety can be fun and rewarding for the whole family!
What is #DareToBeSafe?
#DareToBeSafe is a fun, family-friendly challenge designed to help everyone - young and old - learn important skills to stay safe while using the internet.
Each challenge is a chance for you and your child/ren to take action together, from setting up parental controls to discussing privacy settings and creating family agreements.
By participating in these challenges, you will not only gain valuable knowledge about online safety, but you’ll also earn rewards along the way!
How It Works: Complete a Challenge: Each challenge will guide you and your family through an important internet safety topic. Start with the first entry-level challenge and continue completing them as a family.
Sign and Return: Once you’ve completed a challenge, your parent or guardian will sign the challenge sheet to confirm you’ve done it. Don’t forget to bring the signed sheet back in to school!
Get Rewarded: For each challenge you complete, you’ll receive 5 team points and a new challenge to try! If you complete all the challenges, you’ll get a Headteacher sticker for your sticker book.
Share and Celebrate: After completing a challenge, we encourage you to take a picture or share a video of your family completing the dare (safely and responsibly, of course!) and share it with us.
Why It’s Important: The internet is an amazing place for learning, fun and connecting with others, but we all need to be aware of how to stay safe online. Through #DareToBeSafe, we’re helping children and families develop the skills to make smart, safe choices while navigating the digital world
Are you ready to take the dare?
We can’t wait to see how you and your family get involved.
Let's make staying safe online a priority—and a challenge worth taking!
All challenges must be completed by Tuesday 25th February 2025
