Here at Hugo Meynell we offer many different instruments that your child can learn to play.  The following choices are available:

Guitar and Ukulele 

Mrs Gault, at Putting Music First, offers guitar and ukulele lessons. Please click the link below to access a video where you will see the teachers play and tell you more about their lessons.

Putting Music First - Introduction to Instrumental Lessons

Tuition will be one to one or can be arranged in small groups if children are learning at the same level. All music lessons will take place during the school day and are charged as follows:

• £64.80 per term for group sessions
• £121.50 per term for one to one tuition

Violin

Mrs Hughes, of Entrust Music Service, teaches violin to year 4. She also delivers small group tuition within the school day. The cost of lessons is £80 per term. This price includes the loan of a violin for the duration of lessons.

Brass

Mr Farrington, of Entrust Music Service, delivers small group brass tuition. The cost of lessons is £80 per term and this includes the loan of either a trombone, cornet or trumpet for the duration of lessons. 

Piano

Mrs Carter has visited Hugo Meynell to teach piano lessons for several years. Tuition takes place during the school day and all lessons are on a one to one basis and cost £11 per week. 

Recorder

Mrs Adcock offers a lunchtime Recorder club on a Monday lunchtime for children in KS2.  This is at the usual extra-curricular club rate.
