Governor committees take on different responsibilities on behalf of the governing body. The five committees are:

• Leadership & Management
• Finance
• Teaching & Learning
• Partnership & Premises
• Performance & Pay

Governors are invited to attend all committee meetings should they wish to do so, and there is a minimum requirement that at least three governors attend each meeting in order for it to go ahead. At least one of the governors attending must not be employed by the school.

Following meetings, the committee reports back to the full governing body by submitting minutes which record decisions made, actions to be taken and/or recommendations for consideration.
